Dream to be an Olympian
My name is Sandip Thapa Magar from Dhading District. My mother is housewife, she works very hard for my study and games. My father left my mom when I was just two years old. I belongs to marginalized Magar Community of Nepal. I have a poor family background, therefore; it is very hard to pay my tuition fee, books, stationaries, and school uniform.
I am Karate player, I won the black belt in Karate. I have participated in many national and international Karate games, which were held in Nepal, Japan and India. In both the national and international games I won different prizes. In addition to Karate, I am also interested in basketball, football, playing different musical instruments and performing dances. I am very much grateful to Studentenprojecten Nepal, which provided me small scholarship. Though its small amount, however, it’s a great support to continue my study and games.
I have dream to become an international Karate player in the future and give the training to my juniors. I have also big aspiration to represent my country in Olympic Games.
